Chopin’s Heroic Polonaise (a.k.a. Monty Python’s ‘Oliver Cromwell’ song) – for bassoon quartet

Chopin’s fabulous tour-de-force, the ‘Heroic Polonaise‘ arranged for four bassoons Chopin_Heroic_Polonaise_Score_Cover

Monty Python’s John Cleese ingeniously used Chopin’s music to create the ‘Oliver Cromwell’ song about the rise of Oliver Cromwell … and the demise of King Charles I who was ‘five foot six inches tall at the start of his reign, but only four foot eight inches tall at the end of it.  I’ll leave you to work that one out.

Quite difficult but also great fun for four bassoons.
